I’m a big fan of O’Connor’s work. Warrior was one of 2011’s best films and I loved his cop movie Pride and Glory. There’s also his hockey film Miracle which is a favorite amongst sports fans.

The plot for this Yakuza film sounds interesting and I’m sure O’Connor will bring that same sense of grittiness and reality to it that we’ve seen with his other films. With a film like this it would be easy to fall into genre stereotypes but O’Connor has shown before that he’s no fan of that, so I don’t think we have to worry.

No news on casting or start date yet but when we hear more we’ll let you know.
