Where can I watch ‘The Princess and the Frog?’

With Tiana's Bayou Adventure on the horizon, why not catch a celebratory viewing?

It’s been 14 years since The Princess and the Frog swooped into the Disney zeitgeist back in 2009, 14 years since Tiana grew into one of the most beloved Disney princesses in the House of Mouse’s royalty gallery, and 14 years since the last great boom of traditional animated efforts that we’d be all too happy to see make a grand return.

And now, the world of The Princess and the Frog is set to expand in a big way, with Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, a brand new Princess and the Frog-themed ride, set to replace Disneyland’s Splash Mountain sometime in 2024. Indeed, now is as good a time as ever to reacquaint oneself with the beloved musical, with Tiana’s Bayou Adventure offering brand new nuances to the classic tale.

But where can one watch The Princess and the Frog exactly?

The Princess and the Frog, being a Disney film, is available to stream on Disney Plus, to what’s hopefully the surprise of exactly zero people.

In any case, a celebratory watch is definitely in order, as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure represents so much more than just the expansion of the world of The Princess and the Frog; not only will the ride mark the first major Disneyland attraction inspired by Disney’s first Black princess, but the fact that it’s replacing Splash Mountain, a ride inspired by the notoriously racist Song of the South, shows a step in the right direction for a company that has more than a few reparations to make.
