Strange things are afoot on Twitter, dude. Filming has begun for Bill & Ted Face The Music, which means we’re about to see whole lot more of a baby-faced Keanu Reeves. In fact, the first look at the duo and their time traveling phone booth has now surfaced online, and we hope you’re ready for it.

For those of you who might not recognize that thing they’re standing in in the photos below, that is in fact a phone booth. I won’t explain what it is/was though, that’s why we have Google.

As for the rest of us who remember 1989’s Excellent Adventure and 1991’s Bogus Journey, next summer is gonna be a blast from the past. We aren’t even mad at Keanu for shaving his John Wick beard. He really looks like a middle-aged Ted Logan.

And just what would two grown up rockers be doing coming out of a phone booth? Well, here’s the synopsis for the third Bill & Ted, which will be released to the public next August by Orion Pictures:

“Following 1989’s Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and 1991’s Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, the stakes are higher than ever for William ‘Bill’ S. Preston Esq. (Winter) and Theodore ‘Ted’ Logan (Reeves). Yet to fulfill their rock and roll destiny, the now middle-aged best friends set out on a new adventure, when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it and bring harmony to the universe. Along the way, they will be helped by their families, old friends and a few music legends.”

Some old faces and new will be appearing while they’re on their journey to save the world as well. William Sadler is returning as Death, and Bridget Lundy-Paine (Downsizing) and Samara Weaving (Ash vs Evil Dead) will star as their daughters. Rapper Kid Cudi, meanwhile, will show up, too, in an undisclosed role. I’ve got a feeling it’ll be as one of those music legends. I also have a feeling that everyone who knows who Kid Cudi is has no clue what a phone booth is, and vice versa.

In any case, on August 21st, 2020, almost three decades after their bogus journey, the tubular duo will be up to their old rock & roll shenanigans again in Bill & Ted Face The Music. Excited? Bummed? Let us know what you think in the comments section below.
