The global trance icon is often associated with the more mainstream-friendly style of trance referred to as “trouse” by the genre’s purists, but it looks like he wants to earn back some street cred by playing a warehouse show in New York City borough Brooklyn.
RPM Events have announced AVB BKWRS, which will take place on July 1st at a location still yet to be announced. A visit to the event website provides a field in which Armin Van Buuren fans can submit their email address to receive pre-sale ticket information, but the cost and supporting lineup remain a mystery as well.
RPM Presents struck a chord with NYC’s trance family recently with the announcement of Aly & Fila’s Future Sound of Egypt Island, which will take place in Governors Island literally the day after AVB BKWRS. The timing of both events seems peculiar at first glance, but considering that more seasoned trance fans will likely favor the Aly & Fila party it could prove a perceptive business move.
