BTS’ Jimin debut solo album ‘FACE’ tracklist breakdown

It looks like the BTS star has more than a couple of surprises up his sleeve.

From the early days of his ARMY love letter single “Promise” to his recent daring collaboration with Big Bang’s Taeyang in “Vibe,” Jimin‘s solo career has been unhurried, yet surprising at every turn. Now, he’s finally coming out with his debut solo album, which is set to make a splash in the K-pop world, and music industry at large.

Titled FACE, the album has been officially described as a “reflection of [Jimin] in an unfamiliar appearance,” as well as “vulnerable minds and unexposed wounds,” as the artist faces “the deepest part of inner-self.” It will be composed of six tracks, whose names and credits have just been revealed by HYBE. Here’s the complete tracklist breakdown.

01. “Face-off”

The opener in FACE, the aptly titled “Face-off,” is a co-production between the two main producers on the album – BigHit Music in-house producers Pdogg and GHSTLOOP. It was written by the two, as well as Jimin, EVAN, and fellow BTS’ alum and main songwriter RM. EVAN has worked on several songs for BigHit Music including BTS’ “Butter Holiday Remix” and “Young Love,” and J-hope’s “Intro.”

02. “Interlude: Dive”

“Interlude: Dive” will probably be a shorter track, where Jimin will be either singing or speaking as has happened in BTS’ discography in the past. This song is written and produced by Pdogg, GHSTLOOP, and EVAN.

03. “Like Crazy”

As the main track of FACE, “Like Crazy” will receive a music video and the strongest promotional push out of all six tracks. Also produced by BigHit Music duo Pdogg and GHSTLOOP, this song adds Californian musician Chris James and Berlin artist BLVSH to the songwriting credits. James and BLVSH have worked with BTS on “Life Goes On” in the past. RM and EVAN also co-write.

The music video for “Like Crazy” drops March 24.

04. “Alone”

Titled “Alone,” the fourth track on FACE was co-written by Jimin, Pdogg, EVAN, and GHSTLOOP, with Pdogg receiving solo producing credits.

05. “Set Me Free Pt.2”

This track has caught the attention of fans thanks to its familiar title. BTS’ rapper SUGA, who goes by Agust D in his solo endeavors, also featured a song titled “Set Me Free” on his second mixtape “D-2,” produced by Pdogg as well. There’s a good possibility the two are connected, with ARMY already theorizing that BigHit Music is keeping SUGA’s feature a secret until the track is released.

“Set Me Free Pt. 2” is FACE‘s pre-release track and the first to reach fans’ hands ahead of the album’s release. It will also have a music video, coming out March 17. Besides Pdogg, GHSTLOOP, and Jimin, the song also has a writing contribution by frequent BTS collaborator Supreme Boi.

06. “Like Crazy (English Version)”

FACE‘s main track is getting an English version too, which will likely target Western audiences and radio.

FACE comes out March 24.
