Check Out How Rukes Managed To Make Spoon Ü Look Cool

You might remember that last week, a handful of household names from the EDM world assembled to act in a shenanigan-heavy trailer video for Hard Summer. Prolific electronic music photographer Drew Ressler A.K.A. Rukes found himself a brief moment of screen time as well, and now we know why: He made Dillon Francis and Porter Robinson look cool playing with spoons onstage.

You might remember that last week, a handful of household names from the EDM world assembled to act in a shenanigan-heavy trailer video for HARD Summer. The plot of the instant classic included a super group between Dillon Francis and Porter Robinson called “Spoon Ü,” which the video made out to be nothing more than the two artists dancing around onstage with spoons.

Today, EDM’s favorite photographer, Drew Ressler AKA Rukes, has uploaded several photos that stand in almost direct juxtaposition to the buffoonery seen in the video. In fact, they actually make Spoon Ü look pretty epic. Shafts of light frame the two artists in a series of images in which Francis has spoons covering his eyes like sunglasses, and Robinson either looks unsure of how to be funny or like he somehow thinks it’s a serious photo shoot.

Below are some of the images taken from Rukes’ Spoon Ü shoot for the HARD Summer video. Take a look at them and be sure to check out the rest over at his official website.
