Martin Garrix Wants To Sample Calvin Harris

It’s no secret that Martin Garrix has taken part in some career-defining collaborations of late, but one artist in particular on his wish list makes for a bit of a head scratcher – at least in the nature of the collaboration desired. Garrix recently told Capital FM that he would like to produce a track with vocal samples from none other than international superstar DJ/producer Calvin Harris.

We’ve already told you about how Garrix himself isn’t a fan of his own singing voice and Harris suffers from the same self-doubt, despite the tremendous success of tracks like “Feel So Close” and “Summer” – on each of which he contributed the definitive vocal samples. In the past, he’s explained, “I want each track to be as good as it can possibly be, and that usually means me not singing on it.”

Seeing as how the other artist Garrix named was none other than “Latch” vocalist Sam Smith, though, he seems to hold the Scottish producer’s pipes in high regard.

Listen to what Martin Garrix said about Calvin Harris’ vocals above and let us know if you would look forward to such a collaboration between the two artists in the comments section.
