A Connecticut TikToker says she kept getting nearly empty dressing cups at Chipotle, and her message is ‘Get it together, Chipotle’

There's barely any in the containers

It seems like the days of getting a massive burrito from Chipotle that could feed someone for two days are becoming a thing of the past. Regulars have complained for years that portions feel smaller and bowls hold more filler. Now, one customer claims the skimping has reached the salad dressing.

Kelsey Greenhill, a self-admitted die-hard Chipotle girly, shared her experience on TikTok, according to BroBible. She was reportedly headed home from a work meeting when she stopped at a Connecticut location for a salad. When she asked for the dressing, the cup apparently came back so sparse that she initially thought it was a joke.

She recalls saying, “Uh, this one’s spilled, sir.” The worker then handed her another cup with the same tiny amount, then another, until she had a small stack of mostly empty containers. She was left wondering if this was actually the intended serving size at that location.

Those cups weren’t even close to what Chipotle says a serving should be

Greenhill did not hold back in the video, as she considers herself one of the chain’s most loyal customers. “I am a die-hard Chipotle girl. If you know me, you know this about me. This is unacceptable. This is horrible. Get it together, Chipotle,” Greenhill said.

According to the official Chipotle website, a standard serving of its chipotle-honey vinaigrette is about two fluid ounces, which carries 220 calories. As the containers hold four ounces, a proper serving should leave them roughly halfway full. Greenhill’s cups held barely enough to coat the bottom.

Greenhill is not the only one dealing with this, either. Other customers have accused workers of skimping on the chicken, and one woman went as far as to weigh her protein cup. Then-CEO Brian Niccol acknowledged that about 10% of Chipotle restaurants were outliers on portion sizes. The backlash sparked a wave of online hacks from diners trying to game the system.

Some people who claim to work at Chipotle have chimed in on these threads to say that these tiny portions are not the norm. However, other threads point out that customers can usually get at least two cups of dressing for free. One commenter under Greenhill’s video who identified as a manager said the portion should be two ounces. Others under the video shared similar frustrations, with one urging her to report the store, as they believed workers were rationing the dressing.
