A Target shopper checks under a toy display after seeing videos about lost stock and finds old Star Wars merch: ‘easily been under here for 15 years’

Apparently, it wasn’t a myth.

A shopper in a Target toy aisle crouched to look under a store display after seeing online videos claiming old stock gets lost down there. The creator, who posts on TikTok as Booger, says it started as a joke for his wife. In the clip, he says, “This is easily been under here for 15 years.”

Under the display sat a group of older Star Wars toys. Booger points out a Nintendo 3DS stylus pack with Star Wars branding. “There’s a Nintendo 3DS Stylus pack under there,” he says.

The man says he had doubted those stories. “I thought it was a myth,” he says. The pack appears to date to around 2012, so his estimate is close, though the video cannot confirm how long it was actually there. He also says, “Rumors are true, though.”

Other items sat nearby, including a Princess Leia figure in older-style packaging. The figure appears to belong to Star Wars: The Legacy Collection. Hasbro launched The Legacy Collection in 2008, putting the Princess Leia figure among an older generation of Star Wars merchandise.

The clip doesn’t show how long the items were there or how they got behind the fixture. It also doesn’t show whether store staff knew about them. Target shelves have turned up hard-to-find collectibles before. One commenter says a remodel once turned up a similar find. They “found a pack of Justin Bieber trading cards during his my world days.”

A highly liked comment reads, “dude those stylus gotta be worth some money.” It is difficult to say what this exact pack is worth from the video alone. One eBay listing for a similar new set of three Star Wars lightsaber styluses was priced at $39.95. The seller calls it rare, but that is the seller’s own description and an asking price is not a sale price.

Another commenter, who says they are a former retail employee, warns against trying to buy it. They say not to scan it, since it will “take 20 people to figure out what to do.” Booger says, “Let’s see if we can purchase this,” but the video does not show a checkout. He says, “So all my Star Wars people let me know if I should go back for these.”
