Hot off the release of his highly anticipated sophomore album Stories, which was met with a middling reception from critics, Swedish EDM sensation Avicii revealed in an Ask Me Anything session that it is “highly likely” that he’ll be releasing a follow-up record in 2016.

The question came up during an AMA with the question and answer platform Quora, and will no doubt serve as welcome news to fans, who waited two years for a new album from the famous DJ and producer after the release of his debut LP, True.

While there’s no way of knowing at this point what to expect from a third full length release from Avicii, if his last two albums are of any indication, we’ve got nothing to worry about.

True was admittedly a more focused effort than Stories, but both releases gave us a solid mix of songs that displayed the producer’s versatility and depth, and we can’t wait to see what he’s cooked up for this third album.
