Ben Affleck’s Super Bowl commercial shows what he likes to do when JLo’s not around

We also finally learned JLo's donut of choice.

Could it be a smiling Ben Affleck? The Super Bowl LVII made it happen as everyone’s favorite moody Batman found a reason to smile as his wife and long-time love, Jennifer Lopez, pulled up to a Dunkin’ Donuts location he happened to be manning. Okay, so maybe the smiles were more on the side of the patrons pulling up and being surprised by Affleck in the window, but there was tangible happiness nonetheless.

Dunkin’ surprised fans with perhaps the most unexpected commercial of the big game when Affleck shed his actor skin and put on a headset to help man the coffee and donut spot. Of course, it wasn’t just any Dunkin’ location; it was in his home state of Massachusetts, the city of Medford, to be exact. Affleck’s voice is certainly recognizable, but it’s not every day the mega-talent works the window at a donut store, so they were shocked when they pulled up the window and saw his face.

Perhaps the most surprised patron or associate of the day was Affleck himself when Lopez pulled up to the window and asked if this was what he meant when he said he’d been going to work. He shrugged, and told the fellow Dunkin associates that it was time to go home as he took off his headset. Before he could leave, however, Lopez told him to grab a glazed donut. Hey, if the opportunity presents itself, you might as well take it.

Super Bowl LVII is already full of exciting commercials and trailers, and there’s nothing better than a surprise Affleck to make the night better. Here’s to Dunkin, Batman, and the man who wears a scowl better than anyone else.
