After more than a year of filling up our news feeds with more than its fair share of vitriol, alarmism and division, the 2016 Presidential election finally came to a conclusion last night, with Donald Trump snubbing Hillary for the title of President Elect.

Musicians tend to be pretty vocal about their concerns for society and politics, so it should come as no surprise to find out that many of dance music’s biggest stars are weighing in on the election’s controversial results. Below we’ve compiled some of the best DJ reactions to Donald Trump’s win, with Diplo, Skrillex, Zedd and more making their voices heard.

It probably won’t come as much of a surprise to see that most of the DJs commenting are critical of the election’s results. A few tried to inspire some hope among fans, while others seemed generally concerned for the future.

Prior to the election, Zedd was one DJ who specifically stated he would leave the country if Trump were elected. His Tweet following the election leads us to believe he was serious.

Still, a number of DJs took the news in stride and had some funny commentary to offer up on the whole situation.

Regardless of your political affiliation or your feelings about the results of the election, it’s important to remember that art and music have often served as greater catalysts for change than politics. If nothing else, we have a feeling the election results will have a profound effect on the creative fields over the next few years.
