Future is getting back to business with regular collaborator and former tour partner Drake on the fiery new single, “Used To This.” It’s a combination that fans know all too well, but what goes down on the fresh track makes it easily one of the best offerings we’ve gotten from the duo to date.

From their collaborative mixtape, What A Time To Be Alive, to guest features on each other’s songs, Drake and Future have a ton of material together, so it’s always a possibility that a new cut from them could potentially poison the well. However, “Used To This,” if anything, only makes us want a part two to their mixtape, as the catchy track relies on hooks and an infectious chorus to keep the interest strong. Drake chimes in with a guest verse that’s half sung and half rapped, but the song shines the most with its optimistic piano line in the background.

Future doesn’t always use this talent to his advantage, but his back catalog reveals that he’s low key one of the best pop songwriters in the game. “Used To This” joins singles “Where Ya At” and “Low Life” as some of his poppiest, but it’s really more comparable to the Pluto cut, “Straight Up.”

In addition to Drake’s upcoming mixtape, More Life, we’ll be getting a new one from Future as well. This new single is expected to be featured on what’s known as Beast Mode 16, and it should be out by the end of the year.
