Halo 4’s Longbow May Help You Forget About The Summer Heat

This summer has already started off with a horrendous heat wave. It’s to the point where I don’t even want to go outside (something not that hard for a video game journalist truth be told), but I desperately need something to help me escape the heat, if only mentally. 343 Industries has rushed to my rescue inadvertently by giving us the first details on one of Halo 4’s new maps.

This summer has already started off with a horrendous heat wave. It’s to the point where I don’t even want to go outside (something not that hard for a video game journalist truth be told), but I desperately need something to help me escape the heat, if only mentally. 343 Industries has rushed to my rescue, albeit inadvertently, by giving us the first details on one of Halo 4’s new maps.

Longbow follows the long lineage of snow maps in Halo games taking us to the northern polar region of the planet Concord in order to do some fine murdering. While 343 isn’t giving up any details yet, a blog post on Halo Waypoint (which introduced the map) stated “each side is a very similar plan and path, but distinct enough to get a peripheral sense of being in a distinct ‘zone’ in the map.”

We’ll get our hands on this for the first time when it makes its world debut July 7th and 8th at Rooster Teeth Expo in Austin, Texas. I’ll be there to check it out, but the question is, how many of you will be ready to grind me into a fine paste?
