India May Be Getting Its Own Mad Decent Block Party

In 2015, India proved itself as a fertile breeding ground for dance music, with Skrillex embarking on his debut tour of the country while Hardwell broke the world record for biggest guest list in Mumbai in December. It now appears Diplo may have his sights set on the Asian country as well, as rumors circulate about the possibility of a Mad Decent Block Party taking over India.

A now deleted Gorgon City post hints at the notion of an Indian Mad Decent festival, with three February tour dates falling under the Block Party header in key cities including Mumbai, Agra, and Bengaluru.

It’s unclear at this time if the posted tour dates were simply erroneous in nature or if the news wasn’t meant for release at the time of the post, so Indian EDMers shouldn’t hold their breath yet. But with a huge population and plenty of dance music lovers to boot, the idea of an India based Mad Decent Block Party doesn’t sound too far fetched.
