Original Wonder Woman actress Lynda Carter has been cast in the upcoming second season of The CW’s Supergirl. According to Deadline, she’s set to appear in multiple episodes as the POTUS – or, the President of the United States. Yes, that’s right, Lynda Carter will be playing the President on Supergirl. Not a bad way to kick off the sophomore outing, eh?
With the show moving from CBS to The CW for its second year, expectations have been set high for Kara Zor-El’s return, but now with Carter set to make an appearance as well as Supes himself (being played by Tyler Hoechlin), we think it’s safe to say that there’s a lot of excitement in store for fans with season two.
No details were given on how exactly the Girl of Steel will be involved with Carter’s President, or if the actress will also pop up on other CW series as well, like Arrow and The Flash. It’s very possible, though, given that all these shows share the same world now, but we’ll just have to wait and see on that front.
Either way, this is definitely exciting news and it should give viewers even more reason to tune into Supergirl when it returns for its second season on its new home, The CW.
