Sony confirmed another leaked character for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale today, with the announcement that Raiden, from the Metal Gear Solid series, will be playable in the game.

As a close-ranged fighter, Raiden’s specialty is in singling out other brawlers and knocking them around with some impressive air-juggling moves. Additionally, he has a chain-attack system that will allow him to branch out into several different combo attacks, and he can defend himself from other players attempting to get in a back attack with reverse stabs and parries.

In addition to Raiden’s announcement, Sony also revealed today that the PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale public beta will kick off on September 11th, and will end on September 18th. Gamers looking to get in on the week-long beta can sign up on the PSN beta site right now, and will be notified by email if they are chosen.

Check out Raiden’s announcement trailer and screenshots below, and look for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale when it launches on November 20th for the PS3 and PS Vita.
