It seems a bit late in the year for a festival to release its phase 1 lineup, but LED’s OMFG! NYEÂ 2016 has revealed the first round of headliners on its roster this week. The San Diego massive – which takes place from December 30th-31st at the Valley View Casino Center – just put out a flyer with 19 names to entice SoCal party kids into buying tickets to the event.
So far, though, LED seems to have stiff competition as other New Years Eve parties around the country have already vacuumed up all the big names. Flosstradamus, Porter Robinson and Borgore top the list, and while they’re all quality acts in their own right, none of them command the kind of draw that a festival lineup needs to stand out among the rest.
Jauz and Marshmello make for the biggest up-and-comers on the list, and then acts like TJR, Jai Wolf, 4B, Nom De Strip and Valentino Khan round it out with some niche appeal.
Of course, this is just the phase 1 lineup – additional announcements could still make OMFG! NYE 2016 a contender in this year’s assortment of New Years Eve festivities, so check back for further updates as the event’s organizers make new lineup details available.
