President Trump held a meeting with Tina Peters at the White House on Monday to discuss election integrity strategies ahead of the upcoming midterms. The visit was confirmed by former Department of Justice official Ed Martin during an appearance on the network Real America’s Voice, where he noted that the discussion occurred roughly two hours before he spoke with host Eric Bolling, as reported by The New Republic.
This session marks the second time Peters has visited the White House to consult with the president this year. She previously met with him in June, an event that prompted the president to share his thoughts on Truth Social. At that time, he wrote, “What she went through should never happen to anyone again.” He further stated, “Just think of it, she caught the Democrats cheating, and they put her in jail for Voter Fraud.”
Peters previously served as the Mesa County clerk and recorder in Colorado, where she managed local election logistics, including candidate paperwork and ballot processing. Following the 2020 election, she embraced conspiracy theories regarding voting machines manufactured by Dominion Voting Systems.
Peters’ actions eventually led to a conviction
Her actions led to a conviction for election tampering after she provided a security badge to Conan Hayes. Hayes used the badge to copy a voting machine hard drive while Peters ensured the security cameras were disabled. The stolen data was eventually provided to Mike Lindell.
Although Peters was originally sentenced to nine years in prison for her role in the tampering, Colorado Governor Jared Polis commuted her sentence in May following pressure from the president. Since her release, she has frequently appeared in right-wing media to reiterate claims of voter fraud and has even requested a position within the administration.
During the discussion on Monday, Martin claimed the conversation focused on concerns regarding the security of voting machines. He referenced comments made in August by Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin, who suggested that election equipment contains parts from China, Russia, and other foreign nations, rendering them compromised.
Martin described the nature of the meeting by saying, “Tina Peters, you know, from Colorado, was in the Oval Office meeting with the president on election integrity, and they were talking about the plans.”
