Ultra South Africa To Expand To Three Days In 2016

The expansion of EDM festivals on a global level has been staggering over the past several years, and it doesn’t show signs of stopping. While new research may indicate the possibility of a slower rate of growth in the North American festival market, a series of regions around the world are just starting to blow up – and South Africa appears to be one of them, as the organizers of Ultra South Africa have revealed that the festival will bump up to three days in 2016.

The Cape Town festival topped its 2014 attendance record by 20% in its recent installment, making it the largest festival of its kind that South Africa has ever seen. A recap video for the 2015 edition shot and edited by star videographer Final Kid captures the electricity of the massive, also revealing the story of Martin Garrix’s very first festival main stage performance at last year’s edition. As a lot of promising talent has come out of South Africa of late, we would definitely consider checking out the festival if given the opportunity.

We want to know what you think, though. After watching the recap video above, how do you think the Ultra South Africa measures up to its counterparts in other countries? Give us your opinion in the comments section below.
