‘The math ain’t mathin’: Jasmine Crockett raises some very important questions on the validity of Melania Trump’s ‘Einstein Visa’

Jasmine Crockett knows how to trigger the MAGA folk.

Rep. Jasmine Crockett is well known for her vicious takedowns of Republican politicians, it’s kinda her thing. She’s not afraid to say the quiet part out loud and it’s gotten her plenty of admirers but probably just as many haters.

Recently, the representative for Texas’ 30th congressional state upset a number of people in the House by going after Donald Trump’s wife, Melania Trump. Crockett has been labeled “evil” and a “disgrace” after she questioned the validity of Melania’s EB-1 visa. She also threw in a few digs at the first lady too but they were arguably warranted.

What did Jasmine Crockett say?

According to an article from the New York Post, the congresswoman started out by calling out the “lack of integrity when it comes to the president’s family’s visas.” She drew attention to Melania’s work as a model, mocking the first lady with her signature scolding wit.

“Melania, the first lady — a model, and when I say model, I’m not talking Tyra Banks, Cindy Crawford or Naomi Campbell-level — applied for and was given an EB-1 visa.”

The derogatory comments regarding Melania’s career seem to have upset more than a few Republicans, but Crockett’s comments about the former model’s visa are definitely worth having a serious conversation about. Jasmine goes on to explain what is required for an applicant to receive an EB-1 visa, commonly referred to as the Einstein visa.

“You’re supposed to have some sort of significant achievement, like being awarded a Nobel Peace Prize or a Pulitzer, being an Olympic medalist, or having other sustained extraordinary abilities and success in sciences, arts, education, business, or athletics. Last time I checked, the first lady had none of those accolades under her belt.”

Unless Melania has some pretty impressive hidden talents that none of us are aware of then she really shouldn’t have been given the EB-1. So that begs the question: How did she get her hands on one? It doesn’t take a genius to see the hypocrisy here.

While ICE literally snatch people off the street and send them to a foreign gulag with no due process Melania has seemingly gotten away with illegally obtaining a visa without meeting the requirements. As Crockett puts it, “It doesn’t take an Einstein to see that the math ain’t mathin’ here.”

The response online

The congresswoman’s comments have sparked backlash online from Trump supporters. One person wrote, “What a low class piece of nothingness,” while another opted to ignore the arguments and go for Crockett’s appearance as they asked “What is Ghetto Trash Barbie wearing?”

Some felt that Melania should not be criticized too harshly as they argued she did not choose to be the first lady, and right now she isn’t even fulfilling the role of first lady as she’s gone AWOL. Whatever your thoughts on the matter Crockett’s comments ring true, the Trump administration lacks integrity and Melania receiving an Einstein visa proves as much.
