A woman said she walked into her son’s daycare to pick him up and watched the director nudge the crying child in the face. The woman, who posts on TikTok as @hippiebee03, shared the account in a video filmed from the driver’s seat, with her young son Stoney visible in a car seat behind her. The clip carried the caption “Literally my worst nightmare” and had drawn about 604,100 views and nearly 5,000 comments.
She said she was “literally shaking right now” because she had just walked in and found him “sitting on the floor crying,” with the director “sitting over him.” Hippie Bee told viewers she watched the director “nudge him right in his face” and added, “I just couldn’t even believe- I can’t believe that I watched what I watched.”
She turned the camera toward Stoney and asked, “What did she do, Stoney? What did Miss Brandy do to you?” The boy replied, “Uh, you gotta call the police.” She said she had already called the police, then asked again what Miss Brandy did. Stoney answered, “It hit me right to the face,” and pointed to one side of his face, saying, “Not that one, this one on that side.”
Mother says she pulled her children and contacted the police and state officials
Hippie Bee then described an earlier mark on her son’s arm. She said that the other day, he had a scratch and told her who scratched him, and that she did not want to believe it at first. She explained there was a nail mark on the side of his arm and that she had thought maybe somebody else had scratched him.
“But no, he specifically told me it was Miss Brandy,” she said. Parents at La Petite Academy have raised concerns about how their children are treated, as a Kentucky mother says a school refused to let her pick up her special needs son for a doctor’s appointment.
She said she was waiting in the car for the police because she was not leaving until she made a police report. She added that she needed to go back inside for the rest of their clothes and belongings, because she was not bringing them back the next day. “Because God only knows what’s going on when I’m not here,” she said. She then addressed the facility directly: “So La Petite Academy, count your days.”
In a later update TikTok video, Hippie Bee said she did not really have news because police had not reached out to say whether they had reviewed the cameras. She claimed the woman involved “kind of admitted that she did, you know, nudge him in the face” and quoted her as saying, “I didn’t mean to hurt him.”
She said she hoped an officer captured that on a body camera or took a statement from her. Strangers confronting parents with children in public have drawn attention before, as an Atlanta mother said a man tried to grab her son while she pumped gas at midnight.
She added she was also putting in a complaint with the Department of Health and Human Services so the agency could conduct an investigation. She explained that the boys were home, taking a nap, and that she had decided to pull them out completely and not send them back “in fear of their safety.” She said that if she had not seen what happened, she did not know what would have occurred later.
Hippie Bee said they were all home and that it was “a little chaotic,” and that her mind was “all over the place.” She described an appeal to see if she could transfer her job, and said that if it did not go through, an open position would remain where she used to work. She said she might reapply for that role or try to transfer, and that she was also looking for housing back in Pennsylvania.
She told viewers she was living “moment by moment” and asked them to “pray for us, we need it.” She added that since she came out to the area, it had felt like “bad luck, one thing after another,” and closed by saying, “Send good vibes because we sure as heck need it.”
Viewers under the first video urged her to widen the report. One commenter wrote, “Call CPS as well.” Another wrote, “File a police report.” Some focused on the child being on camera and on daycare oversight. One viewer asked, “why are you doing this in front of him?” Another wrote, “Every daycare should be required to have cameras everywhere! This sort of thing happens way too often!”
Other comments rejected daycare outright. One person wrote, “I will live in poverty before I sent my kids to daycare .” A commenter who described themselves as a daycare worker wrote, “As a daycare worker. I hate to say it. You cannot trust ANYONE. Trust your children.”
