The controversial social media conservative — whose extreme popularity is mostly evident on YouTube and Twitter where she regularly duels with Don Cheadle — has decided to profess to her followers an opinion so obviously coated in absurdity that she realized that she had to falsely claim that it’s objective.

I’m not normally a Candace Owens hater (shocking, I know) but she often fails to fully grasp the severity of her own words, like in her recent attempt to call out Lizzo. Interestingly, she’s not a serial tweeter, so it suggests that she actually takes the time to think about what she tweets but that’s what makes this even more disturbing.

Today, Candace tweeted to her 3.7 million Twitter followers that “Transgenderism is so objectively satanic it boggles the mind. I have zero compassion for the perpetuators of this demonic cult.”

It’s one thing to disagree with people or to point out an individual that you strongly oppose, but to label an entire identity of people as being satanic redefines the meaning of that horrible four-letter word “hate.”

It’s the same level of hate that has been experienced historically by many marginalized groups in the United States. It’s also the same level of ignorance that is spoken by individuals who believe that free speech exists as an allowance for hate speech.

It’s also hypocrisy. One person spreading hate to her millions of followers by claiming that the idea of changing one’s gender identity is demonic shows just how demonic the messenger of that claim really is.

No one is obligated to like everyone. However, why do so many people — like Candace Owens — dismiss their own human ability to understand others and instead replace it with a fiery contempt? Being anti-understanding is becoming the new norm and Candace Owens, likely to her own gratification, is clearly a leader of the anti-understanding movement. She is so pleased with it that she proudly declares that she has “zero compassion” for anyone who is transgender, as if there isn’t enough hatred and violence against the transgender community already. No human being should ever be proud to proclaim their lack of compassion.

The only conclusion I draw from it is a simple one and, believe me, I don’t write it without giving it serious thought.

Candace Owens is so objectively hateful it boggles the mind.
