A Carnival cruise guest said in a TikTok video that she used the ship’s drinking package, had 15 shots of Patrón Reposado in one day, and then lost both the package and the handle on her balcony door. The creator, who posts as JuicyLoveBoo, filmed the aftermath from a first-person view and told viewers to still buy the package.
On-screen text in the video read, “POV: Get the carnival drinking package, they took mines but make sure yall get it.” The caption said yes, people should get the drinking packages, and no, they should not get 15 shots of Patrón Reposado. She used the tags #carnivalcruise, #carnivalfrienze, and #carnival.
The clip first showed a ship hallway with patterned carpet and wooden cabin doors. Three people in dark uniforms stood in the hall. One man leaned on a door frame, a woman held a clipboard, and another man stood beside her. A plate that appeared to hold food sat on the floor near a cabin door.

The video then cuts to a view from a cabin window over a port at sunrise or sunset. A large historic liner with red and black smokestacks, the RMS Queen Mary, sat docked in the harbor. More on-screen text said, “They took my balcony handle & revoked my drinking package yeah we was f–ked up.”
The last shot was a close-up of the balcony door frame. The handle that would open the door was missing, leaving an empty slot. A hand pointed at the gap. Door-operation instructions were posted next to the frame, along with a warning that read, “WHOA! YOU HEARD THAT RIGHT. There’s a $500 fine for smoking on the balcony. Please don’t.”
Carnival’s Cheers! package, per the terms provided on Carnival’s website, lets guests pay one flat price for drinks for the length of the cruise. It covers spirits, cocktails, beer, and wine by the glass at $20 or less, plus many non-alcoholic drinks. It allows up to 15 alcoholic drinks in each 24-hour period from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.
The same terms say only one drink may be ordered at a time and that sharing is not permitted. Every adult in the same stateroom must buy the program. The package is non-refundable. Carnival states that the 15-drink figure is not an entitlement and that staff may limit a guest to fewer drinks or refuse service if they judge the guest impaired.
The company also says crew are there to provide a fun but safe vacation and that responsible drinking is shared by guests and staff. Cheers! generally does not apply ashore, so drinks on land are not monitored under the package.
In a comment under her video, JuicyLoveBoo replied to a question about cruise jail. She wrote, “No jail time they just took me to my room & took my key & balcony handle.” Security and conduct issues on Carnival cruises can extend to passenger interactions, as one woman reported being cornered by an older passenger after paying for an all-inclusive trip.
Viewers argued in the comments about how someone could get that intoxicated on package drinks. One person asked how a guest gets that messed up on 15 watered-down drinks. Another commenter answered that she had said it was 15 shots of Patrón and that the first commenter had not read the post. A third person wrote that they “got it all watered down” and suggested the skeptic had probably never been on a cruise.
A separate commenter described a similar situation. They said it happened to a husband on the first night of a seven-day cruise about 10 months earlier, that the line later gave the privileges back, and that he had to write a letter to the captain as well. Carnival’s troubles go beyond balcony access, as one woman said a flood in her cabin ruined thousands of dollars of belongings.
