‘Don’t cry, my love’: Amazon driver swoops in to help woman with MS out of predicament after the battery in her mobility scooter died

An Amazon worker has been showered with praise after she stepped in to help a woman whose mobility scooter had run out of battery, leaving her stranded just outside her own house. The whole thing was caught on the woman’s doorbell camera and later posted to TikTok, where it received hundreds of thousands of views.

TikToker “@alkimmythealchemist” (AKA Kimmy) uses her account to talk about her experience living with multiple sclerosis (MS) while trying to raise money for a “specialized neurological therapy” for her legs. A recent video posted by Kimmy shows the struggles she faces dealing with limited mobility.

In the clip, Kimmy can be seen through the doorbell camera. While her mobility scooter can move, it doesn’t have enough charge to get over a small ramp just in front of her house door. “Oh my god,” Kimmy says as she tries to remain calm. The in-video text explains that her phone had been left inside, meaning she had no way to call for help.

An Amazon driver comes to the rescue

As Kimmy evaluates her options, she quickly realizes she might be trapped for a while. She tries reversing the mobility scooter over the ramp but, once again, it loses power before it reaches the top.

Thankfully, Kimmy spotted a delivery driver pull up next door. “Can you please help me for a second?” she calls out. Kimmy repeatedly apologizes as the Amazon worker makes her way over to help, explaining to her, “I’m stuck.” The worker responds, reassuring her, “Oh, I got you, sweetheart.”

The worker agrees to help push Kimmy up the ramp as she expresses her gratitude for the act of kindness. The worker pushes her up to her front door, and Kimmy tells her, “I just wanna cry,” to which the worker reassuringly responds, “Don’t cry, my love,” before leaving Kimmy and returning to her work.

In the video caption, Kimmy expresses her gratitude towards the Amazon worker once again, writing, “A big thank you to this Amazon delivery angel for helping me up my porch when my scooter battery suddenly became weak.” Viewers also commended the Amazon worker for her kindness: “Faith in humanity restored,” wrote one person; “This makes my heart cry,” added another.

Not all Amazon delivery workers are this kind; it’s possible that Kimmy could have been stuck outside her home much longer had a different Amazon driver been in the area at the time. Thankfully, that wasn’t the case, and Kimmy received the helping hand she needed.
