‘He’s signalling the mothership’: Woman investigates creepy noise while home alone only to find her cat has a hidden talent

Cats truly are some of the funniest creatures on the planet, no wonder TikTok is filled with videos of them getting into all sorts of mischief.

We’ve seen all kinds of smart cats on TikTok, from tour guide cats to pro-gamer cats. Our furry friends are more talented than you’d think. And we might have just found the most talented cat of them all. A cat that looks set to begin its career in the music industry.

The musical cat of TikTok

The video in question was posted to TikTok by the account “Harry Potter Cats,” with a name like that you should expect some pretty magical kitties and that’s exactly what we’ve got. It starts with the mother of the cat explaining through the video captions that she’s home alone, however, she can hear a spooky noise coming from upstairs.

The noise is like something straight out of the soundtrack of a horror film, it makes your hairs stand on end. Going up the stairs to investigate the woman realizes the noise is coming from a room with no lights on. When she flicks the lights on we quickly realize there was nothing to fear, it’s just a cool cat sitting on a piano, practising their DJ skills presumably.

This is a perfect demonstration of the cat’s instinct to sit on anything and everything, even if it does start making a weird noise. The cat even looks visibly confused by the noise yet refuses to get up off of the keyboard as it cycles through various beats and drum loops. Some may say the little cat just happened to sit there by accident, but I prefer the theory that they are having a mini studio sesh in the dark.

Personally I would say this cat has a future in the music-making business for sure, they’re clearly a very talented feline and the people of TikTok also agree. One person asked “When is it releasing on Spotify?” Another added, “He’s signaling the mothership.” Many also compared the cat’s song to a Tyler, The Creator hit, this cat better be careful, don’t want to be sued for plagiarism. Then again, maybe they could collaborate with Tyler, I’m sure plenty of fans would love to see it.

This is just one of the many reasons TikTok is such a great platform. It holds countless hours of cats just being weird and doing funny stuff. It’s just something that never gets old no matter how many times you see funny cat videos, there’s always time to watch more.
