‘I’m not the only one’: YouTuber CoryxKenshin accused of ’emotional and mental abuse’ on social media

The jury's out in the court of public opinion.

A woman claiming to be CoryxKenshin‘s ex has accused the popular YouTuber of “emotional and mental abuse” on social media, adding she’s “not the only one.”

CoryxKenshin, legal name Cory DeVante Williams, 32, is a YouTuber, writer, and actor, known for his comedic gaming content, particularly horror game playthroughs. So far, the woman making the allegations has only been identified by her social media handle, @pandaninjaxxofficial. She clarified in her posts that she is accusing Kenshin of mental and emotional abuse, but not sexual abuse or assault.

‘He never cared’

@Pandaninjaxxofficial shared her posts on July 13. The first showed a video of herself with CoryxKenshin, captioned “POV: You didn’t know this was one of the videos you’d look back and realise… he never cared.” In a follow-up post, she stated, “I dated Cory Kenshin… and he hurt me really bad… and I’m not the only one.”

She also shared an audio clip allegedly with CoryxKenshin’s voice. In it, he seems to discuss doing something to her while she was asleep.

In a written post, she specified Kenshin engaged in “narcissistic behaviors,” “love bombed” her, was guilty of “status-fuelled cruelty,” and that he “ghosted me… to teach me a lesson.”

According to her posts, Kenshin threatened to “f— her life up,” and it took her some time to recover from the abusive threats. She finally shared screenshots of alleged XBOX and Discord DMs between the two with what she said were examples of Kenshin’s behavior.

Kenshin has faced other controversies in the past, such as just this year, when his fans attempted to “cancel him” for allegedly staring “inappropriately” at his stylist. He’s also faced allegations that his followers have declined in recent months, but that was unsubstantiated.

The YouTuber has not so far commented on the new allegations, and social media response has been mixed, with some supporting Pandaninjaxxofficial, but others questioning how bad the accusations truly are, and whether the supposed messages might be faked.

“Is anyone forgetting that you can literally change your XBOX and Discord username and PFP. Anyone can impersonate Cory,” one comment said. Another added, “[W]here is the proof this is cory this could literally just be sum random guy.”

And finally, one comment said in part, “I think the real thing to note here is that we don’t have the full story, so much is clearly left out and some parts are blocked out. If her story is completely true, my heart goes out to her.”
