In a TikTok storytime sitting at over 17,000 views, Caroline opened up about an alarming experience in NYC that left her questioning herself and her surroundings. According to her, a stranger casually approached her pointing a camera in her face for what she assumed was a lighthearted street interview. But within seconds, the stranger reportedly turned erratic and began screaming manufactured accusations.
The random woman allegedly accused Caroline of following her around and recorded it. Unable to take in what was happening, Caroline simply froze. Meanwhile her viewers theorized what the stranger was upto. One reasoned that the lady might’ve ben in psychosis. “Paranoia about being followed is a common delusion,” they added.
A casual sidewalk wait dissolved into bizarre stalking accusations
The alleged encounter occurred a couple of months prior while Caroline was standing on a city corner waiting for her boyfriend. She said she was just passing the time scrolling on her phone and minding her business. Suddenly, a woman allegedly walked forward and thrust a smartphone lens into her face.
Assuming the stranger was an influencer filming a casual street-fashion interaction, Caroline initially looked up and offered a warm smile. “I look up and smile because I think she’s going to be like, ‘What are you wearing?'” Caroline explained. But instead of asking about her outfit, the woman allegedly hit record and began screaming hysterically.
“This girl has been stalking me all day! She’s following me, she won’t stop following me! She keeps stalking me! I’m just trying to get on the bus, I’m just like a woman trying to get on the bus, and this girl is stalking me!”
Stunned by the brazen accusation, Caroline froze on the sidewalk. She was terrified that any movement or response would escalate the scene. “I was really scared, so I just like stayed where I was and like didn’t respond,” Caroline explained. The woman then allegedly completed an entire loop around the block before marching straight back to Caroline to repeat the theatrical tirade.
“Oh my god, please! Like, I’m just an innocent woman like trying to get on the bus, and like this girl won’t stop stalking me,” the woman reportedly said.

Caroline claimed in her video that the woman’s aggressive performance drew bewildered stares from surrounding pedestrians. It turned her into an unwitting spectacle. What made the situation particularly chilling was the accuser’s emotional conviction.
The stranger’s panicked delivery was so theatrical and seemingly earnest that Caroline admitted she experienced momentary cognitive dissonance. “This was so believable that I was starting to question. I was like, ‘Wait, have I been stalking her?'” Caroline recalled in disbelief.
