The world has found a Donald Trump lookalike – one look at him is enough to see the striking resemblance

A rare albino buffalo in Bangladesh has become a social media sensation because of how much it looks like the U.S. President Donald Trump, particularly because of its golden, flowing mane. The animal, which has been nicknamed “Donald Trump,” has been drawing large crowds in the days leading up to Eid al-Adha, the “Festival of Sacrifice,” which is set to take place next week.

The buffalo lives in Paikpara, Narayanganj, and its owner, Ziauddin Mridha, said he bought it from a cattle market in Rajshahi about 10 months ago. It was Mridha’s younger brother who first gave the animal the nickname “Donald Trump,” after noticing how closely the buffalo’s blond mane resembled the U.S. president’s well-known hairstyle. The name stuck almost immediately, and word about the animal started spreading locally before it caught attention online.

Mridha also confirmed that despite all the attention, the buffalo has already been sold. He described the animal as calm by nature, which he said is common among albino buffaloes. According to him, they are generally peaceful animals that do not turn aggressive unless they are provoked. Albino buffaloes are not commonly seen, and their light coloring alone tends to make them stand out from typical livestock, reports The Daily Beast.

The buffalo’s resemblance to Trump has clearly struck a nerve with people online

Visitors who came to see the buffalo have been posting about it on social media, with many pointing out how similar both the animal’s facial structure and hairstyle are to the U.S. president’s. Much like the Florida server who went viral after three difficult customers tested her patience in a single shift, sometimes all it takes is one unexpected moment to capture the internet’s attention. 

One woman said she first heard about the animal through viral clips that were being shared online. “When I saw his pictures on Facebook, he looked exactly like Donald Trump,” she said. “His facial structure and even hairstyle match that of Trump.” 

The photos and videos of the buffalo were captured by photographer Salahuddin Ahmed for AFP via Getty Images, which helped push the story to a much wider audience across the internet. The images clearly show the buffalo’s distinctive golden mane, which drapes over its head in a way that immediately reminded people of Trump’s signature look. Once those images started circulating, the comparisons came pouring in from people all over the world.

Albino buffaloes are considered rare, and their unusual appearance often draws curiosity on its own. But the specific combination of the light-colored, flowing hair and the buffalo’s facial structure is what made this particular animal stand out in a way that felt almost too good to be a coincidence. It is the kind of story that spreads fast online, much like the woman who suspected her boyfriend was cheating after a closer look at his truck and ended up going viral herself.

The timing of all this attention, right before Eid al-Adha, has added to the overall buzz surrounding the animal. People in Bangladesh typically visit cattle markets and farms in the days leading up to the festival, which meant there was already a large number of potential visitors passing through the area. Many of them made a point to stop and see the buffalo in person after hearing about it online.

The steady flow of visitors to Paikpara showed just how much the story resonated with people. Whether they came out of genuine curiosity or just wanted to see the resemblance for themselves, the buffalo attracted attention that most livestock never receive. By the time it was taken away by its new owner, it had already become one of the more unusual viral stories to come out of the region in recent memory.
