A traveler at Washington Dulles International Airport appeared to record from inside an occupied restroom stall as a hand in a black glove reached through an opening in the toilet paper dispenser. Carofine (@carofiney) shared the footage on TikTok under the caption “Need advice here.” The video has gained more than five million views.
The clip shows a stainless steel dispenser mounted on the stall partition. The top roll looks nearly empty and leaves a visible gap, while the bottom roll appears full. A hand with red nail polish and a pink sweater sleeve reaches out and covers the opening.
Through the gap, a black-gloved hand comes in from the other side. The woman blocks it with her palm and says, “This is not okay. This is not okay. Hey, this is not okay.” The gloved hand pulls back briefly before reaching through the gap again.
Woman keeps her hand over the opening while speaking
The woman continues to press her hand against the opening. She says, “You can literally see me naked. Stop. Yes, you can see through the stall. Don’t do that again. That’s not appropriate.” She points at the gap with her finger as she speaks. The gloved hand then retreats, and the video ends with her still covering the opening. Similar restroom encounters have been reported before, such as when a janitor changed toilet paper outside her stall and kept going after she asked them to stop.
Viewers offered a range of reactions under the post. Some suggested the person on the other side of the stall may not have fully heard the woman. One commenter wrote, “She probably got headphones in honey.” Others focused on the design of the dispenser itself. One person asked, “Who t-f put in a two way toilet paper roll that’s so weird.”
Several comments defended the person wearing the glove. One viewer stated, “She didn’t design the stall, she just tryna do her job.” Another added, “She just trying to clock out and go home.” A different commenter shared a personal story and wrote, “No one believes me when this literally happened to me at a tanning salon but it was the upstairs ceiling that had a crack in it and it was a guy looking.”
Some viewers called for stronger consequences. One person wrote, “Get her fired. I lost a job because of a similar situation.” Another simply stated, “GET AN ATTORNEY.” One commenter summed up the scene with the short line, “Only in America.” Privacy concerns at airports extend beyond restrooms, as shown in one traveler’s awkward security pat-down moment.
The footage shows the woman repeatedly covering the gap and telling the person on the other side to stop. No additional information about the identities of either person or any later actions appears in the clip. The video ends while she is still holding her hand over the opening in the dispenser.
