A college student says a routine stop for a quesadilla turned into an exchange that left her questioning things. Saihaj, who posts on TikTok as @saihajlikespickles, shared a video that has gained hundreds of thousands of views.
On-screen text reads, “it’s everyone’s first day on earth in college istg,” and the caption states, “i hope the guy sees this bc sir, you’ve pi–ed me clean off.” She said in the video that she was getting a quesadilla and walked up to the register after whipping her card out. According to her account, the male employee asked, “Are you here for something?”
She explained to the camera that she responded by saying she was there to say hello and noted how beautiful his eyes looked under the fluorescent lighting before asking what he thought she was doing. She then stated she told him, “Yeah, I just got a quesadilla.” He replied, “So you’re gonna have to pay for that,” she claimed. Saihaj appeared to react with exaggerated surprise, saying, “Really? Really? Thank you, Catherine Obvious. Thank you so much.”
Recounting the full exchange and her response
Saihaj added that she did not know she had to pay for her food and thought she could pay with FaceCard. She further explained that she pulled her card out because she likes the sound it makes when it slides out of her phone’s wallet.
She called the employee a “fat b——d” while continuing to walk past the campus buildings and trees. Saihaj said, “Apparently it’s my first day on Earth. Hey guys, can someone pick me up from the hospital with a car seat? Because apparently I was born yesterday.” Confrontations between customers and counter staff keep going viral, including a customer cursed out at McDonald’s who pointed out she was being filmed.
She described telling the cashier that he sucks and that she hates him. She compared the eatery to a fast-food chain by stating, “buddy, this is the college version of Chipotle. You’re not running the Navy SEALs, okay?” She finished the rant by saying, “Shut up. Shut up and take my card,” and calling him a “pig.” Chipotle counters have been the setting for other viral moments, like a Chipotle app order gone wrong.
Some viewers said the clip matched experiences they have had with staff at registers. One person wrote that they have started calling people out for similar interactions. Another stated, “Men at the register irritates me so bad.” A third commenter said the video matched the voice in their head after encountering someone they viewed as acting in a certain way.
Other viewers focused on the specific cashier or related moments. One wrote, “Knowing who this man is make’s it even funnier.” Another shared a comparable supermarket experience, stating, “me at the supermarket yesterday when the worker said “are you waiting for something?” and i was legitimately in line waiting for a free self checkout like…. yes obviously…..” A further commenter said, “This would’ve send me into the stratosphere you’re so strong.”
