A TikTok user who posts as Eevee (@eeveeochoa27) said in a video that a family of nine asked her to give up her paid seats at a Karol G concert in El Paso so they could sit together. She said she told them no because she had paid for seats 7 and 8. Her TikTok video has gained 3.2 million views, 331,000 likes, and more than 4,400 comments.
Eevee said a young girl first walked up and asked if she and her companion could “scoot down so we can all sit together ’cause it’s 9 of us.” She said the family had seats 1 through 6 plus 9 and 10. She stated she refused and told them she was not going to move.
She said the woman in yellow later asked the same thing. Eevee said she refused again and then went to security after the woman kept telling her family she did not want to move. Eevee said the woman repeated that point “over 20 times.”
A later TikTok message accused her of starting a seat dispute
Eevee said security spoke with both sides after she reported feeling harassed. She said she told the staff she had paid for her tickets and did not owe the family her seats. She also said that when she returned, the woman’s daughter stepped in front of her and almost tripped her.
She said the girl then sat next to her and looked at her phone and videos. Eevee said that is how the girl found her TikTok account. She also said the girl, who she described as looking about 11 years old, told her, “Oh, I have money. My dad can buy up this whole stadium. I just choose not to. But I’m gonna go buy a Chanel bag.”
The video later showed a comment from an account named CriztinaDice. That comment read: “You came to El Paso and caused an unnecessary seat war so the children could sit together, then told the security guard how much money you had and how much you paid for your tickets. We were sitting right beside you and paid just as much, if not more, because we had VIP tickets.”
Eevee addressed that message in the video. She said, “You came at me the wrong way, and because no te salió como tú quisiste y no te di mis asientos, te molestaste.” The Spanish portion of that remark, in English, means the other person got upset because things did not go their way, and she did not give up her seats. She also said the other side’s “privilege card doesn’t work with me.”
In the clip, Eevee used the word “f–king” when she described moving her feet so she would not fall after the girl’s foot went in front of her. She said she paid for her seats and did not have to give them up.
Some commenters said they would not have moved either. One wrote, “I wouldn’t have moved either! Hell no! You bought those seats!!! Shame on chriztinadice.” Another asked, “Why is HER poor planning YOUR problem?!!” Such disputes over assigned seating at major events continue to arise, for example, when a woman entered an Ariana Grande concert to find her seats had allegedly been given away.
Other viewers focused on the family request. One commenter wrote, “As a mother… Idk why people think it’s a strangers job to accommodate their kids & horrible planning…” Another said, “I just know they’re reading every single comment.”
A few comments took a different view. One person wrote, “She’s thinks she’s entitled because she used to be the newscaster for the TV station here in El Paso…” Another, who said they were from El Paso, wrote, “I am from El Paso, I would have moved. Kindness goes a long way.” Concert seating disputes are not new, as when an NYC woman told security her Harry Styles tickets might be a scam.
