Woman waiting for Princess Polly grand opening shoves man and then accuses him of assault, but she didn’t know she was being recorded

The woman claimed the man was assaulting her, but the video evidence said something different.

Viral footage that appears to show a woman intentionally walking into a man standing behind her in a queue before accusing him of assaulting her has sparked a heated debate online. The incident, which took place at the opening of a Princess Polly store, was shared on TikTok and other platforms, where many expressed their opinions on the woman’s alleged false accusation.

Crowds had gathered in the Pacific Fair Shopping Center in Queensland, Australia, for the much-anticipated online store opening its second-ever physical location. To celebrate, the outlet was giving away free swag to people who showed up. However, as the crowd grew in number, things quickly got out of hand, with some people getting physical. According to an article from Yahoo Lifestyle, shoppers had waited for hours for the doors to finally open.

Witnesses who attended the opening claimed that there was lots of shouting along with pushing and shoving. However, one moment in particular caught the wider internet’s attention.

A shove that everyone saw

Arguably the most watched moment from the whole event was when a woman seemed to intentionally shove herself into a man who was standing behind her. In the clip, she can be seen throwing herself back, with quite some force, into the man. She then turns around, and it looks like she says something to him.

The man who got pushed can be seen raising his arms as the woman turns back around. The woman then speaks up and can be heard saying, “Excuse me, he’s assaulting me.” Her accusation prompts cries from the crowd as people presumably call her out for lying.

Discussions surrounding false allegations

The video has prompted discussions on false accusations, with people on X claiming that nobody would have believed the man was innocent had there not been so many witnesses and a video to prove what actually happened. “If it wasn’t on camera, he could have been arrested and charged,” wrote one person.

Others commended the other women present for immediately refuting the woman’s accusations and supporting the man who was shoved. “The way the other women immediately clocked her and said nope not today…” an X user pointed out.

People on TikTok also came with similar takes on the situation. One TikToker, by the name of “@hari2official,” said “You have to be truly evil to do some s–t like this.” Meanwhile, “@eagleslover215” stated, “She definitely should be held accountable for this.”

Another video posted to TikTok appears to show the same woman, accusing her of pushing into the queue, resulting in the poster not getting anything from Princess Polly.
