Woman’s funny TikTok comment leads to brand deal with Martin’s Potato Rolls despite ‘jealous’ creator deleting her viral comment

The TikTok comment received more attention than the original video.

A woman who received viral fame for a particularly funny TikTok comment has now allegedly gotten herself a brand deal with Martin’s Potato Rolls. While that might be one of the greatest things to come from a TikTok comment, the main thing everybody’s talking about is the apparent jealousy of the person whose video she commented under.

It all started when Delores Nicole commented on a video posted by TikToker “@KeepingUpWithKayla.” The video featured a hot dog, sandwiched between two buns; Kayla declared it to be the perfect hot-dog-to-bun ratio. Nicole recognized the buns shown in the video and responded with a comment that ended up receiving well over one million likes. She wrote: “No fat s–t but that’s those martins potato buns aren’t they?”

Those on TikTok who saw Kayla’s video found Nicole’s comment hilarious, with some saying the comment had more value than the video itself. The video allegedly received over 14 million views, but most were coming for the comments, or one comment in particular, making this a rare situation where the comments were actually more popular than the video.

The comment gets deleted

According to TikToker “@Neiltheceo,” almost all the comments were talking about Delores Nicole and how she could recognize the exact brand of buns.

“This is where the jealousy came in,” TikToker Neil claimed. According to him, Kayla deleted Delores’ comment out of jealousy. When she was called out on it, the TikToker allegedly chose to remove the video completely before posting another video explaining herself. However, she would allegedly end up deleting her entire account after receiving too much negative attention from the TikTok community.

Meanwhile, Delores Nicole seems to be thriving after her newfound fame translated into something potentially life-changing. Since her comment went viral, her following has ballooned to an impressive 137k, and she has also reportedly been given the opportunity to partner with Martin’s Potato Rolls, although that has yet to be confirmed.

Neil claims Kayla’s jealousy cost her everything while simultaneously boosting Nicole’s profile and giving her a potential brand deal. Nicole’s newfound fans shared their thoughts on the situation in her latest video. One commenter wrote, “I’d be a bit jelly too, but the way she went about it wasn’t smart.. should of collabed or somethinggg.” Meanwhile, others said Martin’s had “better give you something,” and claimed that the potato rolls had “sold out everywhere.”

Regardless of whether she gets the brand deal or not, it seems Delores Nicole has become an overnight viral sensation, and all it took was one funny comment underneath the right video.
