A Wisconsin teenager is said to have hit her 2-year-old daughter in the face and attacked her boyfriend after an inter-throuple dispute turned violent.
The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office (via Law & Crime) says that on Tuesday, 7 July, Emma Spencer, 17, became infuriated that her boyfriend preferred the other woman in the throuple. The complaint says:
“The defendant made remarks saying that [her boyfriend] liked [the other female] more than her and that no one loves her. [The boyfriend] tried to reassure the defendant and said, ‘If I didn’t love you, why would I have a kid with you?’ pointing to [their daughter].”
“Conflicting feelings about the three-way relationship”
Spencer then reportedly struck her daughter in the face with her palm while pushing her down, making her cry. The boyfriend confronted her, demanding to know why she attacked the child. Spencer allegedly replied that “she didn’t want to have a baby anymore and she never wanted a baby.”
This descended into an all-out attack on the boyfriend, with the complaint alleging she mounted him on their bed and began “punching him repeatedly in the chest”. It’s also said she struck him in the groin and hurled a can of Mountain Dew at him. The complaint does not specify whether this was a full can.
Throuples appear to be difficult to get right, as shown by this story of a Seattle woman who “disgusted” her husband by raising the idea.
After the cops were called, they spoke to all three parties, were told that the throuple was only three days old, and that the extra girlfriend had only just moved in with them. As the complaint reads:
“The defendant had recently started dating [the female] approximately one week prior and brought her into the home three days ago for a three-way relationship, which was a mutual decision between the defendant and [the boyfriend]. The defendant began having conflicting feelings about the three-way relationship and wanted to take a break. She and [the boyfriend] had been arguing throughout the day about the relationship and their feelings.”
Spencer reportedly says she cannot remember the incident, says she has mental health issues, and has been recommended medication. The daughter was said to be uninjured, save for a “small scratch” on her nose.
As 17-year-olds are treated as adults in Wisconsin criminal law, Spencer has been charged by the Kenosha County District Attorney’s Office with felony child abuse, misdemeanor battery, domestic abuse, and disorderly conduct domestic abuse. She is being held at the Kenosha County Jail. No court date has been set.
