With The Punisher clearly defeated, he and Daredevil have nothing to do other than sit and wait (in a graveyard of all places) for the police to arrive. It’s at this point that we get a very lengthy monologue from Frank as he describes the tragic day his family were killed in front of him and recalls a heartbreaking story about his daughter.
[zergpaidIt’s no exaggeration to say that Jon Bernthal delivered an awards worthy performance here, and after seeing pretty much only non-stop violence from Frank, this sequence really humanizes the character and makes the viewer feel for him despite his actions.
