The CW has released the first official images from the season four premire of Arrow today, and while there’s not much sign of the hero that the episode is named after – “Green Arrow” – we do get a look look at those who have stepped up to protect Star City in his absence.
Along with Black Canary, Diggle, and Speedy, these images also show off the show’s new big bad, Damien Darhk. Diggle’s new suit also looks much better here than in the promotional images released earlier this month, which is a plus.

The Arrow) left Starling City with the hopes of beginning a new life. But will Oliver ever truly be able to leave behind his past as the Arrow, and, if so, what becomes of the team he has worked so hard to assemble? Will Diggle, Thea, and Laurel be left to continue Oliver’s crusade without him? And with Malcolm Merlyn having ascended to the top of the League of Assassins as the new Ra’s al Ghul, is anyone really safe?
Those are the questions asked in the synopsis for Arrow‘s fourth season, and we’ll hopefully learn the answers to them all when the show returns on October 7th on The CW.
