Following an Instagram post which appeared to confirm that Arrow star David Ramsey would soon show up in an episode of The Flash, the first official details about his appearance have now been revealed. It turns out that both Diggle and his wife (played by Audrey Marie Anderson) will be showing up in episode fifteen for a team-up between A.R.G.U.S. and Team Flash.

Showrunner Andrew Kreisberg had this to say about what brings the duo to Central City:

“The Diggles arrive in Central City to help Barry take on King Shark who has escaped from ARGUS and is hellbent on completing his mission of destroying The Flash.”

Considering the fact that King Shark’s surprise cameo appearance in The Flash last year was said to be a one off, it’s surprising to learn that the CGI character (described by producers as “a very expensive thirty-five seconds” at the time) will be taking on what sounds like a much more significant role here.

Regardless, it’s this sort of crossover which makes Arrow and The Flash so much fun, and seeing as Diggle has always had such a funny reaction to seeing the Scarlet Speedster’s abilities, an entire episode of them working together is pretty much guaranteed to be awesome.

The Flash returns to The CW later this month.
