Arrow Set Pics Contain A Pretty Big Character Spoiler

At the end of the Arrow Fall finale, Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) was left fighting for her life in Oliver's (Stephen Amell) arms after being shot. At the end of the Arrow Fall finale, Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) was left fighting for her life in Oliver’s (Stephen Amell) arms after being shot. While most fans rightly assumed this character wouldn’t be killed off, her ultimate fate was left up in the air.

Rmember all those rumors that Felicity would take up the mantle of Oracle on the show at some point, though? Well, that looks to be exactly what’s being set up to happen here.

Thanks to Canadagraphs Twitter account, we have a couple of set images from downtown Vancouver where Arrow is currently shooting, and one features Rickards in a wheelchair, strongly suggesting that she going to be “Oracle’d.”

In the comics, Barbara Gordon became Oracle after being crippled by the Joker, and eventually teamed up with several other female heroes to form the Birds of Prey. Will that happen with Felicity? Obviously it’s very early days, but if they do decide to go that route, there are characters such as Black Canary and Huntress that she could definitely partner up with.

Arrow returns on Wednesday, January 20th with “Blood Debts.”
