Some folks couldn’t contain their hype, particularly for the much-anticipated debut of Ruby Rose as Batwoman. Much of “Elseworlds” will be set in Gotham City, after all.

Fans were also quick to notice the visual similarities to the iconic poster for The Avengers

The Avengers callbacks were more specific as well. Some noticed how Grant Gustin’s Green Arrow was doing the sort of sexualized pose usually saved for female characters on movie posters (see: Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow).

Elizabeth Tulloch’s Lois Lane is even doing an impression of Thor, what with that hammer she’s holding. Let’s hope it’s not made out of a part of Groot though, like the God of Thunder’s was in Avengers: Infinity War.

Others couldn’t resist more digs at how uncomfortable Amell looks wearing Gustin’s speedster outfit.

As jam-packed full of characters as the poster is, though, one fan thought it was missing a key figure: Legends of Tomorrows Sara Lance, who’ll be sitting this crossover out with the rest of the Waverider crew.

Elseworlds” begins with an episode of The Flash on Sunday, December 9th, before continuing with Arrow on the 10th and concluding with Supergirl on the 11th. And at this point, we can hardly wait to see what The CW’s got planned for us.
