Watch The Opening Prologue For The Elseworlds Crossover

Tonight during Supergirl, The CW gave us a brief prologue for the upcoming Arrowverse crossover, "Elseworlds," and you can watch it right here.

Well, this was certainly a nice little surprise.

If you tuned in for tonight’s episode of Supergirl, titled “Bunker Hill,” you’ll know that it concluded with a prologue for the upcoming Arrowverse crossover, “Elseworlds.” It’s not much, but as you can see above, it at least gives us an idea of how John Wesley Shipp’s version of The Flash will get involved in things.

We see him here on Earth 90, where the corpses of several heroes are lying all over the place. Among them is the Scarlet Speedster, still alive and crawling across the ground trying to reach a book. Before he can get his hands on it, however, The Monitor (LaMonica Garrett) snatches it and unleashes its power.

Again, it’s brief and doesn’t give us a whole lot to go on, but it’s a welcome tease for “Elseworlds” nonetheless and certainly has us hyped up. Especially since we’re now only about a week away from the big event, with things set to kick off on The Flash on December 9th, before continuing over the next two nights.

Of course, there’s much more than just Shipp’s return to the Arrowverse to look forward to here – though we’re definitely excited that he’s back. In addition to having him involved though, the crossover will also bring us Ruby Rose making her debut as the first ever live action iteration of Batwoman, Tyler Hoechlin returning as Superman – and in a black costume, no less and Barry Allen and Oliver Queen swapping bodies. Like I said, there’s a lot to get excited about.

And it all begins next Sunday, when the Arrowverse heroes – minus the Legends of Tomorrow – unite for “Elseworlds.”
