Earlier today, we got a first look at Zoom in an exciting new promo trailer for The Flash season two, and The CW has now followed that up with a poster. It’s hard to say what exactly is happening in this eye catching piece of imagery, but things aren’t looking good for Barry Allen (Grant Gustin). Is he losing control of his abilities and the Speed Force? We’ll have to wait and see.
With Earth-2 set to be introduced when the series returns, it’s obvious that the Scarlet Speedster’s life is about to be shaken up in a major way, especially as the young hero is going to have to contend with both returning villains, new ones from an alternate reality, and the arrival of both the villainous Zoom and the heroic Jay Garrick, two characters set to drastically alter the status quo.
Season one of The Flash broke ratings records for The CW and drew almost unanimous praise from comic book fans, so they’ll need to do a lot to top what’s come before, that’s for certain.
[zergpaid]Season two of The Flash picks up months after the Singularity attacked Central City, as Barry is still struggling to forgive himself for Eddie’s death. Concerned about putting his friends in danger, Barry has pushed everyone away and has chosen to protect the city on his own. When a meta-human named Atom Smasher attacks the city, Iris tells our protagonist that he needs to let his friends help him protect the citizens of Central City. Meanwhile, Cisco helps Joe with his Meta Task Force.
The Flash returns to The CW on October 6th with “The Man Who Saved Central City.”
