Titans, the live-action series set to land on Warner Bros.’ new streaming service DC Universe, won’t just be introducing us to the Teen Titans. That’s because it’ll also open the door to a much wider version of the comic book universe, with appearances from Doom Patrol – who’ll get their own spinoff show – and Hawk and Dove confirmed.

There’ve also been many reports that claim Batman is on his way, as well. This makes a lot of sense, too, seeing as Brenton Thwaites’ Dick Grayson will be the protagonist of the show. It’s thought that Bruce Wayne will at least appear via flashbacks which reveal how the billionaire adopted Grayson and trained him up as his sidekick Robin. A new set photo, though, suggests that the Dark Knight, complete with cape and cowl, could also appear.

As shared by Twitter fan account @DCTitansBrasil, the image shows some of the crew members hanging around on set in Toronto. In the background we can clearly see the Bat-signal, suggesting that the Titans might need Grayson’s old mentor to help them out at some point in the series.

Of course, this is just the first of many brand new DC TV shows set to arrive on DC Universe, which is launching this August. Others include the aforementioned Doom Patrol spinoff, Swamp Thing and animated series Young Justice: Outsiders and Harley QuinnMetropolis is also in development, though that’s been sent back to the drawing board last we heard.

As well as Thwaites, Titans will star Anna Diop as Starfire, Ryan Potter as Beast Boy, Teagan Croft as Raven, Alan Ritchson as Hawk and Minka Kelly as Dove. Bruno Bichir, April Bowlby, Jake Michaels and Dwain Murphy will also recur as the Doom Patrol before they jump off into their own vehicle.

But will Titans feature Batman as well? If it does, we’ll suddenly have many different versions of the Bat-mythos on TV – let’s not forget Gotham‘s climactic fifth season and the Arrowverse’s introduction of Batwoman. Not that we’re complaining, mind you.
