The cast of The CW’s Black Lightning series has grown by one today, as Deadline brings word that Edwina Findley has secured a recurring role opposite Cress Williams.

Best known for her involvement in AMC’s companion series, Fear The Walking Dead, Findley will play the part of Tori, the “beautiful and cunning younger sister to Tobias Whale (Marvin ‘Krondon’ Jones III). Tori’s charming nature is just a facade as she can be just as deadly as Tobias, an exciting threat to the people of Freeland.”

Salim Akil, showrunner and executive producer on Black Lightning, is clearly a big fan of Findley’s casting, telling Deadline that “Edwina is a fantastic talent, and I am so excited she is joining us.”

Anchored by Jefferson Pierce (Williams), Black Lightning tells the tale of a retired crime-fighter who is unknowingly thrust back into the spotlight as a wanted vigilante.

An estranged daughter only exacerbates an already tricky situation, leaving Jefferson Pierce with little choice but to suit up and assume the Black Lightning mantle after years spent on the sidelines. Findley, on the other hand, will be playing the screen sister to Marvin “Krondon” Jones III, who recently landed the coveted role of Tobias Whale. Other cast members include Christine Adams (Lynn Stewart), Nafessa Williams, Damon Gupton, China Anne McClain, and James Remar.

It’s the fifth CW series to be based on characters pulled from DC Comics, but just don’t expect any form of connection to the much-touted Arrowverse; instead, Black Lightning will stand on its own two feet come 2018.

Next up for Edwina Findley is Sunday’s season 3 finale of Fear The Walking Dead, which will be followed in quick succession by The Walking Dead season 8 on October 22nd.
