8) Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. (Season 4)
When’s it start? Unknown, though we’re fairly certain it will return in late September like previous runs.
Who’s involved? Clark Gregg, Ming-NaWen, Chloe Bennett, Elizabeth Henstridge and Iain De Caestecker will return, though Brett Dalton won’t. Adrienne Palicki and Nick Blood will presumably join back with the team, after the cancellation of their spinoff Most Wanted.
What’s it about? After Phil Coulson’s team went through a tough time in season three, things will apparently get even edgier and darker in the next run.
Verdict: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is sort of the forgotten sibling of the Marvel TV universe, as it doesn’t receive the widespread acclaim of the Netflix shows or possess the internet fandom of Agent Carter. However, it does have a loyal band of followers – it has got to at least a fourth season, after all – who no doubt can’t wait for the series to return.
