The CW Welcomes iZombie And Riverdale To The Fold In Midseason Sizzle Reel

As The CW gears up for some of its biggest shows making a comeback by releasing extended promos for both The Flash and Arrow, it’s important that we not forget about some of their other comic book adaptations that will soon hit airwaves, with Riverdale making its debut in the very near future and iZombie returning for its third season.

This network in particular is no stranger to releasing sizzle reels that, not surprisingly, have a key focus on superheroes, most likely due to the fact that they serve as their current cornerstone. You’ve probably seen some of these shots of Barry Allen running down a hallway or Supergirl preparing for takeoff before, but the notable difference here is the inclusion of shows such as the aforementioned ones as well as other returning fan favorites like The Originals and Reign.

Although Riverdale has had more trailers released promoting it in recent memory than you could shake a malted milkshake at, it could certainly use all the help it can get if a second season is to happen, let alone a spinoff or two.

As for iZombie, it’s somewhat unfortunate that its third season is premiering nearly a year after the second one ended, but you know what they say, “better late than never.” Quite frankly, we can’t wait to see what’s in store for Liv Moore, Clive Babineaux and the rest of the gang as a zombie new world order emerges. Not only that, but it should be interesting to see how the new format works, with Liv and Clive apprehending criminals in one episode and then having Peyton trying them in court the next.

Riverdale premieres on Thursday, January 26, with iZombie following on Tuesday, April 4.
