David Ramsey Wants Ben Affleck’s Batman In Arrow

Despite the fact that DC's TV universe is doing a lot better than the company's cinematic one, it doesn't seem like there will be any form of crossover between the two. It's understandable, but fans are still calling for it to happen. For years now, people have voiced their hopes to see Batman make a guest appearance in the Arrowverse, with the darker tones of Arrow in particular seeming well suited to the character. The chances of it happening are slim to none, but at least one actor on the show is still holding out hope.

Despite the fact that DC’s TV universe is doing a lot better than the company’s cinematic one, it doesn’t seem like there will be any form of crossover between the two. It’s understandable, but fans are still calling for it to happen. For years now, people have voiced their hopes to see Batman make a guest appearance in the Arrowverse, with the darker tones of Arrow in particular seeming well suited to the character. The chances of it happening are slim to none, but at least one actor on the show is still holding out hope.

Davis Ramsey, who plays Diggle on The CW series, recently did a panel at Wizard World where he revealed that not only would he like to see Batman show his face on Arrow, but that he wants Ben Affleck to be the one who plays him.

“I think for sure Bruce Wayne like I would love to see these two billionaires, well, are you still a billionaire? Math is hard. You should be, you totally should be. I would love to see these two guys at a table together just like “sup Bruce”, “sup Oliver”. You know what I mean? And duke it out, like no utility belt, no arrows, just hand to hand man.”

“I would love Ben [Affleck] to play Bruce Wayne. Yeah, have him on the show, why not join the universe to me. That would be dope, just like, how big would that be?”

While Affleck has done TV in the past – mostly in his early years – this is nothing more than just wishful thinking. Batman could potentially appear in the Arrowverse one day, but having it be Ben Affleck’s version is virtually impossible. DC has shown with characters like the Flash and Superman that the actors who step into these iconic roles remain different across the two mediums, and if the Caped Crusader were to ever show up one day on the small screen, it would definitely not be Affleck playing him.

And honestly, that’s alright with us. While it would no doubt be very cool to see crossovers between the big and small screen, we completely understand the reasons that DC is keeping them separate. That being said, getting someone else to play Batman on Arrow like they did with Superman over on Supergirl would definitely be welcomed with open arms by fans.
