The Flash And Arrow Meet Superman And Lois In New Elseworlds Clip

Yesterday brought our first clip from this weekend's big Arrowverse crossover "Elseworlds," which saw the Flash and Green Arrow try to figure out how they'd switched identities. In this new sneak peak, seen up above, we see what happens next - they travel to Earth-38 and get some help from their old pal Supergirl, in addition to meeting Superman and Lois Lane.

This is another hilarious sequence that makes great use of these five iconic DC characters coming together for the first time in The Arrowverse. The unquestioned highlight of the clip though has to be Green Arrow puffing out his chest to appear bigger when he’s intimidated by standing next to Clark Kent – much like Star-Lord trying to copy Thor’s accent when he first met him in Avengers: Infinity War.

Of course, “Elseworlds” marks the first time that Tyler Hoechlin’s Man of Steel has featured in an Arrowverse crossover and the first time he’s appeared at all since the season 2 finale of Supergirl. To make up for his long absence, he’ll be on double duty in the three-night event, as it’ll also include an evil black-suited doppelganger of the Last Son of Krypton. We presume he drops in from a dark other Earth out there in the multiverse, but we’re not 100% sure right now.

This is Lois Lane’s big debut in the shared universe, though, with Grimm‘s Elizabeth “Bitsie” Tulloch joining the cast as The Daily Planet’s top reporter. The above clip sees the Kents at their home on the farm and though it’s hard to spot here, this is the same location used as the Kent farm for ten seasons of Smallville. We expect to see more nods to the Superman prequel show in the crossover, too, as Stephen Amell has already teased as much.

Elseworlds” begins with The Flash on Sunday, December 9th before continuing on successive nights with Arrow and Supergirl.
