While last week’s season finale of Arrow had the intensity factor going for it, The Flash‘s concluding chapter for the current run is able to entice viewers by pulling back the curtain on various enigmas. In fact, aside from the big showdown with the Thinker, we have two cliffhangers awaiting us tomorrow night.

Though remaining rather cryptic, lead actor Grant Gustin told Entertainment Weekly the first is “one of the most exciting” he and his colleagues have ever pulled off, whereas the other is “one of the most dark and confusing.” From the sound of that, we’re in for an emotional rollercoaster ride, which may lead to some of you speaking of “the feels” on social media immediately following the broadcast.

Now, when Gustin says “confusing,” know that he’s quick to clarify:

“When I say confusing, it’s more like, in Flash world you just desperately want to know, ‘What does this mean?’ The first one gets you really excited about what’s to come, then the second one probably is going to make your stomach hurt, and want the next season immediately.”

If he’s right about this, the hiatus separating May from October will be a difficult one to endure. And given that Flashpoint and Barry Allen surrendering himself to the Speed Force capped off previous seasons, one has to wonder how the producers could possibly top those efforts.

On the plus side, it’s probably safe to assume one will involve the Mystery Girl who’s been confounding us all since first appearing in last fall’s Crisis on Earth-X crossover event. Whether or not she proves to be friend or foe remains to be seen, but all signs point toward her being the future self of Joe and Cecile’s unborn baby, who’ll be birthed in the very same episode.

To find out what happens next, be sure to tune in for The Flash‘s season finale Tuesday night on The CW.
