Former ‘Bachelorette’ star is crossing reality TV lines to join the cast of ‘FBoy Island’

Thurston is just the girl to get through to the fboys.

Forget roses and cocktail parties; it’s time to grab your magnifying glasses and Sherlock caps because Katie Thurston is leaving The Bachelorette behind to join the ranks of one of the most exciting dating shows out there; FBoy Island.

Those who kept up with the first two seasons of the series might remember that an announcement in December of 2022 said that the reality dating series had been canceled, but just a month ago, news broke that The CW was picking the series up for a third season, and Thurston is going to be one of the women looking to weed out the good guys from the f-boys.

That’s right, FBoy Island is back, and while contestants from Bachelor Nation usually don’t cross into the territory of other dating realms — Thurston has never really played by the rules. In a video shared on Instagram today, she hilariously pretends that she wasn’t sure what reality series she was signing up for, alongside a caption that proves she absolutely knew.

For those unfamiliar with FBoy Island, the premise is simple; three romantic hopefuls show up to a tropical paradise to find their perfect match, but there’s a big twist — out of their 24 contestants, only 12 are in it for the right reason. The other 12? They’re in it for the money and a lot of it. If the nice guy ends up with the lovely hopeful, they’ll split 100,000 — if the fboy gets picked, he’s likely going to take the money and run.

Previous seasons have seen a lot of drama, some real romance being built, and more fboy drama than we could imagine, and we have a feeling Thurston is just the girl to weed out the good from the bad, the love from the lust, and to give these fboys a run for their money. It’s yet to be seen who else will join the cast of the dating series, but we’ll keep you posted as we learn more.

You can watch the first two seasons of FBoy Island on Max now, and you’ll want to learn the ins and outs of this dating show before season three premieres.
